3 Installation Methods
Skyshade motorized screens can be installed in various ways to suit different applications, ensuring flexibility and optimal performance for any outdoor space.
Standard Sidetracks
For most residential screen applications, our standard sidetracks provide the ideal solution for installing Skyshade Motorized Screens. These tracks can be used for Inside Above Header (IAH) Mounts or Outside Above Header (OAH) Mounts (also known as Surface Mount). They are compatible with both keder and traditional zipper systems for flexible installation options.
Recessed tracks
Skyshade’s recessed tracks are the ideal solution for entering the pre-construction screen market, where the tracks, roll tube, and motor can be fully concealed. This installation method, known as Recessed Roll Screen Installation (IAHR), is gaining popularity in major markets across the country, and Skyshade is here to help you capture this growing opportunity.
Commercial 4-Inch tracks
For most commercial applications or residential areas with high wind loads, we recommend our top-performing installation system: the Commercial 4-Inch Tracks. When paired with keder technology, this system outperforms all others, ensuring durability and reliability in challenging conditions.
Remotes and Home Automation
Skyshade offers a variety of remote controls to operate motorized screens and awanings, seamlessly integrating with other home automation systems. Our remotes include features such as centralized control, timers, and the ability to control individual or multiple devices.
For those interested in advanced home automation, the Somfy® myLink™ transforms your smartphone or tablet into a powerful remote for motorized products with Radio Technology. Compatible with Alexa, IFTTT, and Google Home, Somfy myLink brings convenient control to your fingertips.
Hardware Color Options
Skyshade offers five standard colors for motorized screen hardware (hood and housing, sidetracks, and bottom bar) to complement most exterior designs. Choose from our available colors in our online ordering system or provide a RAL number to have a custom color powder-coated for a small additional fee.
